Saturday July 15th
1pm – 4pm

“Upstream” features a collection of my acrylic paintings that I’ve created specifically for my art classes.  Even though I’ve always seen this work as instructional it’s about time that they’re all hung together in one place! Come check out my skycapes, clouds and semi-abstract trees during the month of July at Watts Winery in Lodi!

Oh…and as an added treat you get to sample some of Watt’s famous Lodi wines!

“Common Threads: Layers” Art Show

My crow “Fly Me to the Moon” was selected to be a part of this group exhibit and is currently hanging in the beautiful SMUD Art Gallery in Sacramento.  Show runs through March 2nd.

SMAC anncConceptualized by artist/curator Robert-Jean Ray, this exhibition examines the process of layering, and/or depicting layered imagery, in a variety of mixed-media work, including paintings, drawings and collage, by 19 Sacramento area artists.

The idea of “layers” as a reality in the human narrative is explored; putting on layers to protect or conceal, peeling back layers to reveal what’s on the inside, or pushing through to get to the other side. While some of the artists approach this notion in a conceptual way, others depict a more literal experience.
