At this point I am looking quickly back and forth between my piece and Mr. Parish’s. I look to see where I can punch or subdue color. I deepen the muted brown-violet that is found sporadically throughout the piece, I tweak the hair and reassess the background. My eye jumps all over the panel and really starts to look at the picture as a whole. I do these details before I solidify the face.
I save adding the Manganese blue hue until last because it is one of my favorite colors and you always save the best for last!
