Learn how to abstract your own landscape…
This 2-day acrylic workshop will highlight the relationship of core compositional elements between landscapes and abstracts. The first day will focus on creating a simple landscape using a limited color palette through step-by-step exercises. Students will also learn glazing and layering techniques in order to achieve depth in a landscape painting. The second day of the workshop will use the created landscape as inspiration for a new abstract painting. In addition to the basic compositional elements practiced on day one, students will also learn how to tap into the intuitive aspect of painting and dive into abstract interpretation. Demonstrations and individualized feedback will be given throughout the workshop.
